Ottawa, ON — October 21, 2026 — SynBio Canada (SBC) today announces its Annual General Meeting (AGM date) of Nov. 24, 2026. After a highly successful year, Canada’s Synbio community will gather to celebrate and plan for the future.
“In 2026, we had a tremendously transformative year. We successfully hosted SynBio 8.0 with the University of Waterloo and created the National Biomanufacturing Network (NBN) committee and governances’ model. As an early deliverable on the NBN promise, we rolled out a pilot program, first of its kind in the world, to better leverage Canada’s massive investment in biological reagents” said Kashif Khan, Chair of the Board of Directors.
Highlights for 2027 include the NBN committee recruiting committee members and planning an Advisory Board. SynBio 9.0 will be hosted in Saskatoon June 2027.
